- This works reflects Christopher's Plein Air teqnique. A term meaning "in open air" or essensially outdoors on location. The goal of this technique is to capture the essence of the quickly changing landscape in one painting session. It is a very challenging and rewaring meathod of working and suits Christopher's goal to make a direct and imediate connection with nature for the viewer. This piece was painted on the Cheasapeake Bay and reflects the bays history as a place of harvest as well as beauty.
